The Great Mistake...

Leave it to the NT-ers to come up with the most difficult way to accomplish a simple task.... In this case, instead of getting a ladder, or backing up the truck, or just tossing the rope over the branch, it was decided to build a human pyramid...

Many things went wrong during this task...

The first can be seen in the first photo, where it is evident that James is in charge of placing people in their positions.

But in the end, there does appear to be a weak link in the support structure of the pyramid. I'm not going to name names, but it appears that a certain Wisconsin supporting individual loses his stance and gives way...

I had 8 steps of evidence, but this site only allows 5... But you should be the judge as supported by the photographic evidence.

And this little piggy went WEE WEE WEE all the way home...

After further review... that does look like it would hurt...

Nothing like a couple brand new Toggin Tots to brighten our faces, and cause some early departures from the activities...

Farting Gnome trophy

The competition for the coveted NogginToggin Farting Gnome Golf Trophy was a tight race... After the teams ended their golfing tied, the winner had to be determined by a game of Washers. Even this was close, but in the end, it was Katie who won the day. As her duty for being the keeper of the Gnome for a year, she needs to document where and what it will be doing over the course of the year...

The Bridgestone...

There are many conflicting stories about the Bridgestone... But one thing is for sure... Losing it made Jimms quite pissy...

Speed Bocce Champs

While there may have been others who performed better, when the final scores were tabulated, Stacy, Jenn and Troy came out on top! For winning, they are now the keepers of the Noggin Toggin Chalice... And the Bridgestone...

Golf & Camping Weekend Approaching...

Remember that the next official NogginToggin event is quickly approaching...

September 25th at Todd's Campsite.

Golfing is being planned for the morning and a Mexican fiesta in the afternoon/evening. Please plan to bring a Mexican dish or supplies to pass.

Expect games of accuracy in the field, so start practicing.

NogginToggin Vice-President Kevin and his lovely bride Angie have managed to bring a new LaCombe into the world... Here is the scoop from the happy couple:

We are so excited to have a new addition to our family! Cash Joseph Jude arrived on March 31st, 2010! He weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces, but don't worry, he is packing on the pounds already! At his 5 day check-up, he weighed in at 7 pounds 2 ounces! Cash loves tummy time on Daddy's chest and reading books with Mommy!

Toggin Tots!

While some of us have proved our merits over the years, others have stumbled ass-backward into the loyal cousinhood of NogginToggin.

With all of the young kids growing up, it has become apparent that the legacy of NT must be maintained and EARNED. Because of this, we are going to start the official "Toggin Tots" program. Think of this as the Cub Scouts is to the Boy Scouts.... A training program, a means of learning the traditions and values of what it means to be a NogginToggin.

The attached flyer is only meant as a sampling of an official NogginToggin Field Guide that all of our little ones will need to participate in.

NT - Burning the Midnight Oil

Bowling was a success... And I think the girls had fun too.

In the words of Todd:

I would like to start by saying that Jimms was once again the entertainment at the bowling alley. Not sure he meant to be, but it just turned out that way. We had a special appearance from a new part of the Noggin Toggin tradition, the farting yard gnome made his debut, and he did not disappoint. Well shall we begin the recap.

The day started off with a little twist of Jimms presenting me a video of PT Cruiser stuffed with live sheep in the back seat. Apparently he had passed this vehicle on the highway. I did however see some disappointment in his eyes because he was not going to the same place as the sheep. After a few pitchers of beer, some candid photos of the group, and Jimms bragging of his league bowling skills we decided it was time to bowl. Of course Jimms whipped out his bowling scores from league and the "Patches". The scores and patches were pretty impressive, but it was time to prove his worth on the lanes. Long story short, the lanes were too oily, not enough oil, the lanes are waxed not oiled, and i think the pins hated him at one point. So what did we learn from the family bowling. I learned that Matteo throws one hell of a meaty ball. I learned that Boogs was not sure what lane to throw the ball down on the amount of gutters he hit, perhaps he should have heeded our advice and bowled with the children and the bumpers. I learned that Pener with his nice hair gut, tight shirt, and James Gandolfini pants does not bowl well (though he beat Jimms one game). Blyle, what do you say about this guy, who would have thought you could bowl so well wearing a$$less chaps. Although I am still short and fat, using my jedi mind tricks I was able to capture the crown this year.

Boys and Girls... Way back last decade we discussed doing a NogginToggin Winter Bowling event.

Everyone still interested in such an event? If so, start throwing out Dates and places that work. There is already a suggestion to have it the same day as Kevin's Baby Shower, but the dates are wide open...
